Treasurer/Collector’s Office Responsibilities
The Treasurer/Collector’s Office is responsible for the collection of all monies due to the Town including:
Real Estate Taxes / Community Preservation Funds
Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes
Personal Property Taxes
Water Bills
Municipal User Bills
Municipal Lien Certificates ($50 fee and sase)
Departmental Receipts
The office of the Treasurer/Collector is responsible for the receipt, investment and disbursement of all Town funds, billing and collection of all taxes, and issuance of municipal lien certificates. The Treasurer’s office receives all monies which come into the town, is responsible for the administration of employee health and life insurance programs; including payroll and accounts payables for the School and Town. The Treasurer/Collector works with the Selectmen and the Accountant’s departments to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Town’s finances.
Bills are Mailed for Fiscal 2011

2nd Quarter/ By October 1, 2010 due November 1, 2010
Actual billing (Assessed Value and Tax Rate Set)
3rd Quarter /By Jan. 1, 2011 due February 1, 2011
4th Quarter / April 1, 2011 due May 2, 2011
Trash bills went out July 1st and are due August 2nd, 2010. there will be a $5.00 late fee added August 3rd, 2010.
Motor Vehicle Excise was mailed out. 2010 commitment number 4 bills went out July19, 2010 and are due August 19, 2010. 2009 commitment number 10 went out July 19th, 2010 and will be due August 19th, 2010. Now payable online!
